Joelle Brown

Senior Scholar Advisor

As an undergraduate, she studied political science, journalism, and philanthropy at the University of Iowa.  Her master’s degree is in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University. She is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators and regularly attends regional and national conferences.

Joelle cares deeply about welcoming and supporting international visitors at IU. Her favorite travel memories include riding trains through the mountainous Chinese countryside, visiting Casa Azul in Mexico City, and wandering along the River Thames drinking endless cups of coffee during an over-night layover in London. Any time she has traveled outside of the United States, she’s been met with generous hospitality.  She hopes to reflect that kindness to the scholars she works with at Indiana University.
