Rachel is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan and began working at OIS in November 2013. She recently finished a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Ball State University. As a graduate assistant, Rachel worked on numerous cross-cultural and diversity focused research publications, presentations and outreach programs.
She has always been interested in working with international students. During her master’s program she was involved with various international student programs and also served as an Iraqi Student Mentor for the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program.
During her free time Rachel enjoys reading, attempting to cook Indian food, playing guitar, and travelling. Her favorite places to visit are Bangalore, India and Holland, Michigan where she gets to spend time with her adorable niece and nephew. Rachel is excited to explore all that Bloomington has to offer, and can’t wait to check out the IU theater productions.
