Michael Shereda was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois, home of Abraham Lincoln. He graduated from Illinois College in 2019 with a degree in International Studies, German, and Spanish; he has also spent two extended periods living in Germany as both an international student and a Fulbright grantee. He is excited to be part of the team at OIS and work with students from around the world.

Michael's interests include language learning, music, cooking, and travel–his most memorable journey to date was walking 200 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago.
