You want the best for your student, and the faculty and staff at Indiana University do too. IU has many offices and programs that will help them succeed academically, adjust socially, and prepare for the next step of their life.
We also have resources for parents, including:
Office of International Services (OIS)
Whenever your student needs assistance, they can come to OIS or contact us online. We help students with many issues, including visas, admission to IU, and adjusting to U.S. culture.
Office of First Year Experience Programs (FYE)
FYE guides first-year students as they explore their options, transition to university life, and join the IU community. U.S. News & World Report has said that IU Bloomington offers one of the best first-year experiences in the United States.
Career services
IU has more than a dozen career services offices, making career development possible for every student. These offices help students with every stage of the career process, from identifying a career path to finding internships and jobs. For more information, visit Career Services.
Academic support
The transition to university coursework can be challenging. Services such as the Academic Support Center, the Student Academic Center, and Writing Tutorial Services help students improve their study skills and course work.
In addition, academic advisors help students meet their academic goals and graduate on time.
