Your student should apply for freshman status if they are a beginning student who has never attended a college or university before.
Your student will follow these steps to apply to IU:
- Submit an online application.
- Pay the $65 application fee with a credit card.
- Submit supporting documents, including official academic records.
Students who complete their application materials by the priority date will be considered first for admission and will be considered for the most financial aid. Most students begin at IU in the fall semester.
Your student should apply for transfer student status if they currently attend or have previously attended a college or university in the United States or in another country.
Your student will follow these steps to apply to IU:
- Submit an online application.
- Pay the $65 application fee with a credit card.
- Submit supporting documents, including transcripts from all universities they have attended.
Transfer students should complete their application materials by the priority date for their preferred term. This ensures that your student will receive first consideration for admission.
Your student can apply for graduate student status during their final year of undergraduate study, or after receiving a U.S. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
Your student will follow these steps to apply to IU:
- Submit an online application.
- Pay the application fee with a credit card.
- $75 for the Kelley School of Business M.B.A., M.S.I.S., and M.S.A. programs.
- $65 for all other programs.
- Submit supporting documents, including official academic records.
Some programs have special application processes. The application deadline varies by program.
