Tuberculosis test requirement for international students
State law requires all international students to be tested by a U.S. doctor for tuberculosis (TB). We apologize for this inconvenience and try to make it as simple for you as possible.
You will need to have a TB blood test done at the IU Health Center shortly after your arrival. You will not be able to register for your second semester classes until you complete it. The test (which costs $70) and any additional follow-up testing can be billed to your bursar account. This cost can be reimbursed for students who enroll in the IU health insurance plan. Other insurance plans may also cover it.
Please do not bring TB documentation from outside of the United States; it will not be accepted.
If you have had a TB test done in the United States, submit the information in the Immunization Compliance form in One.IU.
