IU has a strong international focus. Several IU centers study the world’s people and cultures, and the university offers courses in approximately 80 languages. More than 2,000 IU students study overseas each year, the nation’s fifth-highest total.

IU graduates are well prepared for success. A recent survey by Eduventures showed that 75 percent of IU graduates have jobs within six months of graduation, and 83 percent of IU alumni are satisfied with their jobs.

More than 1,000 employers recruit at IU, because IU students learn critical career skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem solving.

IU has 13 offices that offer career services, including the Career Development Center.


IU has more than 580,000 alumni worldwide, giving your child a built-in network for his or her career. More than 13,000 IU alumni live outside the United States, and the IU Alumni Association has more than 40 international chapters.
